The holidays can be especially difficult for troops overseas. A package with words of love and some special goodies can remind our brave men and women they are not forgotten. To help spread some holiday cheer to our military kids, a call-to-action was delivered by the LPCA and the response was incredible! As of December 1st, we received $3,154.00 in items and $1000.00 in donations for Blue Star Moms! “We are overwhelmed by the support of the Land Park Neighborhood,” noted Debbie Konvlin, President of Sacramento Blue Star Moms. “These gifts will make a big difference to our women and men stationed overseas during Christmas. We are extremely grateful.”
We’d like to thank Art Taylor, our LPCA Board retired Marine for his leadership on this project. He coordinated with volunteers to drop off thousands of information sheets on Land Park door steps.
Although holiday shipment will go out soon, you can still donate to this important cause. Go to the website to learn how to donate at; www.sacramentobluestarmoms.org
