If you’ve gone through the park on Land Park Drive you’ve probably seen the old bathroom by the pond is missing. This is a positive development! We reached out to Dennis Rogers, the Chief of Staff for City Councilman Rick Jennings and he provided some details.
First, the old bathroom was torn down because it did not meet current codes and the cost of maintenance was escalating. It was deemed more prudent to address the code issues and reduce the ongoing maintenance costs. It will be replaced with a modern bathroom that will be more secure with new features. The estimated time of its opening is June 2025.
One focus of Councilman Jennings is to replace all the old restrooms in Land Park when funding is available.
