Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services (SFBFS) is a local nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. SFBFS is dedicated to assisting those in need by alleviating their immediate pain and problems and moving them toward self-sufficiency and financial independence. With a staff of about 80 and a volunteer force of over 12,000, SFBFS is the central hub in Sacramento County’s fight against hunger.

In 2022, SFBFS:

• Distributed 34.3 million pounds of food, the equivalent of 28.6 million meals.
• Provided food assistance to an average of 240,799 individuals every month.
• Assisted 1,982 individuals with CalFresh applications.
• Distributed 1.9 million diapers at no cost to families.
