Chief’s Report by District – SOUTH – 1st Quarter 2023
Firearm Crime Report -March 2023
Monthly Chief’s Report – March 2023
Shooting Victim by District – March 2023
In looking at the quarterly report, In comparing 2022 to 2023, there are some great indicators that we are headed in the right direction this year. The number of shooting reports are down 52% in district 4, and 28% in district 5. The number of victims shot in district 5 is down 77%! Also, arrests for firearm possession is way down, which tells me that there are less folks illegally possessing firearms in our community. Lastly, assaults on our officers is down 25% in district 4.
Lastly, I was notified this week that I will be transferred out of the south command around the end of June. Captain Bales will be taking over the south area at that time. He is currently working in the Chiefs office, is very experienced, and I’m sure will do a great job.
I hope you have a great weekend!
