Here is the latest Sac PD South Command Chief’s Report and a message from Captain Dan Monk!
This report is for December. At that time, Land Park was still in District 4.
I have several documents to share with you today-the weekly activity log, and two of the monthly chief reports. In looking at south command specific report, we had mixed results in police districts 4 and 5. We had some positive numbers in police district 5 and saw some slight reductions in shootings and assaults on our officers. Unfortunately we saw increases in shootings in police district 4, and response times were up in both. Illegally possessed firearm seizures were also up in both.
Chief Lester is going to make gun violence reductions a priority for our department in 2022, and I would like your help and thoughts in how we can work together to achieve that in the south area. There will be an enforcement piece to the solution, but Id like really like to come up with some ideas on how we partner together for some community based solutions that are good for all of our south area communities.
