NEWS

The Tower Records site plans for a 5 story mixed-use project at 2500 16th street have been resubmitted with minor changes to the presentation made at the LPCA the “Envision Broadway” community discussion last June. It is now under a “streamlined” review and fast-track schedule.

Past feedback has already made a difference. Small changes have been made to the building design in consideration of the historical and cultural value of the Tower Theater as the entryway to Land Park.

Here they are:

  1. Pedestrian Plaza enlarged and central to the new design.
  2. Upper floors have been stepped-back to create height and relief and improve the view of the landmark Tower Theater.

You can still provide comments for this project!  Comments are due on by January 28th, with a possible 7 day extension. Past comments are still relevant and can be re-sent.  You may comment on Community “Context and Fit” Principles as stated in our 2035 General Plan.
