LPCA Community Meeting: Homeless Challenges & Solutions

June 6, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Land Park Meeting June 6 2022

The Land Park Community Association is hosting a community meeting on June 6th at Land Park’s outdoor Amphitheater. People are encouraged to bring a picnic or charcuterie board and enjoy the late afternoon with us.  The Stroop Waffle cart will be available for treats too! We will talk about three local answers to the homeless challenge in Sacramento. Speakers include:

Sacramento for Safe and Clean Streets & Parks: Present their mission and how neighbors can participate.

St. John’s Program for Real Change: Will present the incredible services they provide to the homeless, abused and addicted.

Hope for Sacramento: Will share their model to help the homeless, how it is different from other programs and the success rate of a similar program in San Antonio.

There will be time for Q&A too.

Date: Monday, June 6th

Place: William A. Carroll Amphitheater (by the WPA Rock Garden)

Time: 6pm arrival. Meeting begins at 6:30pm

We understand that the homeless crisis is a big topic and we cannot “solve” the problem. These speakers want to share common sense solutions that may be of interest to the public. This meeting is informational in nature. The LPCA is a politically neutral 501c3 organization designed to advocate for, and support, the William Land Regional Park and the surrounding neighborhood.
