Water Main, Meter Project

This is a City of Sacramento project that is under contract to Teichert Construction. California Assembly Bill 2572 requires all water service in the City of Sacramento to be metered by 2025. The water mains in Land Park are between 80 and 105 ears old. The project will be establishing approximately 1400 individual property meters and replacing 57,000 feet of water mains in street right of ways. In addition, some backyard mains will be abandoned through this project. The next phase of this project will be starting in May 2019 and ending around April 2020. This phase runs east/west from Freeport to Riverside and from 13th Avenue on the south to approximately 9th Avenue on the north. The work will generally proceed from south to north in this area. Typical work hours will be 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday work as well. Residents can expect rotating daily lane closures on local streets, however, access to homes will be provided.
